Alana's back from the National Youth Venture Conference in Boston and had an amazing time. She met teenagers from Brazil, Mexico, Germany, India, Argentina, the Phillipines, etc. and was the youngest Ambassador there!

Congratulations to Alana on being selected a Youth Venture U.S. Ambassador. She'll be attending the YV National Summit later this month in Boston as part of her first duties. This is quite an honor!
Youth Venture® Ambassadors are outstanding YVers representing a variety of backgrounds and possessing a broad range of interests and goals that have a strong interest in helping us strengthen the movement of young changemakers. By sharing stories of their own life-changing experience, Ambassadors seek to engage and inspire other youth to launch their own community-benefiting Ventures. Ambassadors are Venturers who are strong public speakers and enjoy sharing their personal and Venture stories. YV Ambassadors are critical to the growth and strength of the Youth Venture network. News Update
Alana's Achievers is proud to now have the scholarship application posted on this site to be downloaded for financial assistance for extra-curricular activities.
The scholarship program is open to everyone who wishes to participate in sports, take a class in the arts (dance, theater, acting, voice, painting, etc), tutoring, membership for the YMCA, or Boys & Girls Club. Alana is very excited to be able to help our youth in this capacity and she looks forward to receiving many applications! This has been made possible through the Youth Venture grant and fundraisers! Congrats to Alana for all her hard work!!!
Photo Updates SOAR Prize Winner Emily got to have lunch with Alana & Spencer today. You can view some photos here. Kudos to Spencer who didn't want to disappoint Emily and showed up despite hurting his leg earlier. What a trooper! This past Friday, Alana's Achievers returned to the classroom to encourage the students to continue reading every day and exercising regularly. News Update Alana's presentation to the Venture Action Plan Panel won! Her Foundation, Alana's Achievers, will receive a $1,000 Grant which will help fund her scholarship program.

Photo Update Alana's Achievers held its 1st Fundraiser yesterday at Rubio's Restaurant. For each customer that presented a special flyer to them, Rubio's generously donated 20% of that customer's bill to Alana's Program. Spencer & Kyle joined Alana to show their support and they all signed autographs and posed for photos.

"Test One Million" Today Alana was a participant/speaker at the Black AIDS Institute's "Test 1 Million" Campaign
For National HIV Testing Day. She helped demonstrate how simple and painless taking the test is and She filmed a Public Service Announcement to be aired on TV soon.

Lastly congratulations to Alana for being named Student Of The Month at her "real life" school. While most kids only have to deal with homework after class, Alana also has to balance the demands of being an actress. It's quite an accomplishment for her to receive this award and I just wanted to let Alana know I am so proud of her.

"The Comedy Kids" Show from a few years ago.
Alana is featured in the new "Jump Around For Kids" Dvd. Its main focus is to get kids from a sedentary state into a more active state by using fun exercise routines, creative movements, breathing techniques, and hip music. The goal is to raise awareness and prevent the increasing number of obese children in the United States and globally. It can be ordered online here.

This footage is actually from the first morning of shooting for the Series and the "Powers That Be" for the Show decided they wanted Alana to wear a different school outfit. Seems they didn't like how the red hoodie looked under the Studio lights.

I received an email from Alana's Mom that She & Her Daughter were stunned and amazed when they saw my site. Wow that really means a lot to me!
They generously sent me 4 new photoshoot pictures which you can view here. They passed along news that Alana has filmed 4 National X-Mas TV Commercials for Walmart that will begin airing later this month. Her Movie "A Simple Promise" should be released in a few months.

"A Simple Promise" will have its world premiere this week at the La Femme Film Festival (October 11-14) at the Fine Arts Theatre in Beverly Hills, California.
Alana plays the role of Alexis in this Movie.
