Thanks for stopping by Alana Ethridge's Official Web Site. You probably know her best as one of the original students from the hit Fox TV Show "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?" Alana started out modeling in catalog & print ads and featured in national TV commercials for the Hilton Hotels, Walmart, Kmart, Popeye’s, Nickelodeon Kidz Bop 11, Amazing Allysen and regional commercials for the San Diego Zoo and San Diego Tourism. Recent major print campaigns were for Frito Lay and Hilton Hotels. Acting is Alana's real passion and for someone her age, Miss Ethridge has already built up quite an impressive resume. She has completed shooting Two Movies: The Silencer & The Sky and A Simple Promise (now on DVD) as well as starring in 2 Short Films: The Kid Pound and Until The Music Stops. She also starred in a Webisode of "Chillin With The Gonzalezes" which was entered in the MySpace Storyteller Contest. 
In addition to her schooling (She's an honor role student) and pursuing her acting career, Alana actively works with several charitable organizations. These are foundations Athletes For Education, Youth Service America, Get Ur Good On, Ashoka’s Youth Venture, Living Advantage Inc., Celebrating Black Youth and Driving For Donors. Alana was selected as the youngest US Ambassador for Youth Venture for 2009. She also shows her support for our Troops and their families by working with the Miramar MCAS for the ‘Grand Opening’ of the Miramar Exchange and Christmas Carnival. Alana has teamed up with Athletes For Education to start her own mentor-ship program called Alana's Achievers. Her foundation's aim is to help kids achieve their dreams & set positive goals in their life; and to promote the importance of a good education and a healthy lifestyle. Their purpose is to provide a unique and fun learning experience for toddlers all the way up through 2nd grade school aged children. We want kids to see that reading can be just as fun (if not more!) than watching TV and playing video games. We believe that by providing superior stories with award winning illustrations, unique animation, and professionally read narration enhanced with music and sound effects, Story Time For Me will bring back the magic in reading.Their goal is not simply to turn kids onto reading, but to stimulate their imagination and creativity through the unique activities that accompany each story. Our stories were developed to teach wholesome values through positive, moral themes. All the Story Time For Me stories focus on socially relevant and family oriented issues, and the post-story prompts promote discussion between child and parent.
